Class visit of Bill Gray, first AC and Still photographer

Here are some comments on the class visit  of Bill Gray

Bill is First AC and Still Photographer on feature films

On the photo above he is demonstrating  the use of a still camera with a blimp.

“Today in class Bill Gray came and spoke to us,expressing knowledge of the field and his experience

working in it,as well as suggestions to us,the students, about what we should look for and work towards

in our career futures. It was extremely informative,as well as captivating, and as a student I felt that this

is exactly the kind of thing I prefer in a college environment.I was excited to hear from someone who had first

hand experience, and could offer it in a Q and A type conversation, one on one with the students.I thank

Exsul for such an experience, for inviting this speaker to come and talk to us,and I hope that Stevenson

University Film and Video Department continues with more similar visits, people with experience coming to

share about how they got where they are ,what it is like out in the real world,as well as offering suggestions to how we can follow suite.

Thanks again,’

Daniel Regner-Junior at Stevenson University-FilmFocus

  1. Exsul,

I had a wonderful time speaking to what I found to be a very well-informed group of students. I think it’s excellent that media and theater work so closely together at Stevenson. I cannot think of a better learning environment and can only wonder how my college years would have been enhanced by such a well-coordinated and integrated program.

Thank you again for inviting me to talk to your students. I remain impressed with the quality of their questions and the email follow up questions I’ve received since.

    Enjoyed the talk immensely.

    Best regards,
    William Gray
